Entries from around the world compete in the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in Missoula, Montana. This series presents some of the best of these films.

2005 (No. 2005)

In 2005 over 600 film makers from around the world entered the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival held in Missoula, Mont.. This is your chance to see some of "The Best of the Big Sky 2005." First we travel the "NOME Road System" in Alaska, then feel the bite of "Devils Teeth, " followed by a look at "Life in a Basket" on the street, and finally view the sad story of "Joey." Big Sky focuses on the highest quality documentary films without any restriction on subject. The festival provides the opportunity for members of our community and visitors to view and discuss the genre. We aspire to bring the theatrical experience of enjoyable, entertaining and compelling non-fiction films to Montana for audiences to contemplate. The program is hosted by Gita Saedi. First we watch a couple of Birders as they compare their "Life List", followed by a look at how a swimming pool keeps the elderly's spirits "A Float" and finally we find out if a Jewish rapper can "Vocalize" in hip-hop world. The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival focuses on the highest quality documentary films without any restriction on subject. The festival provides the opportunity for members of our community and visitors to view and discuss the genre. We aspire to bring the theatrical experience of enjoyable, entertaining and compelling non-fiction films to Montana for audiences to contemplate. The program is hosted by Gita Saedi.
